Upper Crust Bakery

My most requested café to try among friends and peers has been Upper Crust Bakery. This location is in the downtown area of Chico and is about a 10-minute walk from campus. They are open every day from 6:30 am- 7pm besides Sundays, where they close at 4pm. Upper Crust Bakery has been in Chico Ca, since 1993.

Having a café near Chico State University makes it convenient for college students to grab coffee and food. With students being limited to having cars, Upper Crust is a great option to grab a treat and study somewhere other than the library.

Upper Crust Bakery is very spacious, when first averring I was surprised to see how much outside space was incorporated with the café but still in a unique way. The inside is roomy as well with plenty of areas to sit. When looking at the interior it looks vintage in the best and gives off comfy vibes. I love that even though the Café is big you still feel welcomed by the people around you and staff.

About them

“The Upper Crust Cafe proudly serves a variety of coffee and tea beverages, from worldwide blends and strains, to locally made products such as NorCal Nitro iced cold brew and Chico Chai, “according to their about me page.

With the menu in mind the pricing for beverages is average, ranging from 3$-7$. The types of coffee they serve include, brewed, cappuccino, espresso, lattes, mochas, americanos and nitro. A few of their specialty drinks are Mexican mochas, hazelnut or white Nitro, and London fog. Their food is more on the pricer side, but I would still give them a try. Overall, I would rate this place an 8/10.
