Day Camp Coffee is a newer place located in Merriam square 1925 Market Pl #150 Chico, CA 95928. This café

opened in 2019 and is 2 story building with lots of space to do work or even socialize with friends. The owners are Dan Gonzales and Kyle Nies.

Their coffees range from $3-7$. They don’t have a wide variety of beverages, but their drinks are good. I like the simple menu as you won’t get overwhelmed when ordering. They have a lunch area that closes at 2pm and they are open 7am-4pm every day. 

By going to Day Camp, you are paying sustainable prices and better quality. As Dan Gonzales says on his Day Camp home page, “we aim to improve the quality of life of those who drink our coffee, as well as those who grow it. We work solely with partners who share our focus on environmental and economic sustainability at origin.”

 This goes to show how the owners take pride in their brand and doing what they can to better the environment and our community around us. You can even tell just by place itself.

 

 

 I love the design of this café as it has modern interiors. The brand is simple with a modern camping aesthetic that really pops out on sunny days. Their mission is, “a day camp is a place to rest, meet with friends, resupply, and correct course before heading back out on your journey. Here we strive to makeeach day journey that much better.”

 

As a customer who has gone in a few times over the past year this is exactly how it feels. It feels like you’ve recharged while getting work done. The drinks and food are also wonderful I would rate this place a 8/10!
