When in Chico California you might come across a small building with an eye-catching roof the color blue and the logo of a windmill. Now if you have never came across this building, it is a coffee shop called Dutch Bros. I would like to say this franchise has become popular in the town of Chico Ca considering there are 5 locations, opening its first in 2003. As the Dutch Bros Coffee website states: "Dutch bros started in 1992 as a pushcart by the railroad tracks in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon." Dutch Bros. 

Whats so special about Dutch Bros Coffee?

This Franchise continues to grow larger and larger by the year as it has now reached 11 states. As the brand states:" The first franchise opened in 2000, then quickly spread across the northwest. Today, Dutch Bros continues to grow and is now stoked to serve customers in 11 states and counting."Dutch Bros. Not only does it continue to grow but no matter how many locations open there is a rare occasion to ever see the drive-thru empty. The difference about this coffee shop is that unlike the traditional cafe, majority of locations only have a drive-thru section. There is no going inside and waiting, this franchise caters to people who are mainly on the go.

So how does this work?

You can order your beverage 2 types of ways. You can walk up to the window or go through the drive-thru. Walking up to the window is best when you decide to walk, ride a bike, or even just hanging out with friends on the patio section of the store. Now, because there's usually a big line of cars going through the drive-thru, Dutch Bros created a more efficient way for everyone to get their beverage. With a few workers outside, they carry tablets and walk up to your car, taking orders while creating small conversation. Depending how long the line is you can even get your drink before making it to the window.

What keeps people coming back for more?

With the great atmosphere Dutch creates and the wide variety of beverages, it is easy to fit everyones needs. Ranging from all types of coffees, energy drinks, Italian sodas, lemonades, smoothies, and hot cocoas, Dutch Bros is welcoming to all ages. My earliest memories of Dutch Bros goes back to when i was 8 years old, and my parents would always get me the child version smoothies. I am fortunate to have had this coffee shop in my life as it has always been "the hangout spot" with all my friend groups growing up. To this day I still go to Dutch Bros, and I have even introduced this brand to many of my friends who have never heard/ tried Dutch before.
